Over time you will develop your own stage persona, your performing personality. I know a regular everyday kind of gentleman who is happily married yet acts extremely camp on stage as part of his act. I see it as a guard he uses to protect who he really is from the public eye, creating an ‘alter-ego’ that the public get to see. Regardless, your stage personality will be different from all of the other hypnotists so it’s important to think about how you are going to come across to the public at all times. If you want to come across in a positive light, then be fun and authoritarian. If you want to come across as ‘dark and dominant’ and to do this through acting like an idiot, then prepare yourself for whatever will inevitably come back at you. It’s your choice.
