Admittedly, I am not very knowledgeable about our president’s proposed health care plan, but I do know that finding decent health insurance can be a problem. This is especially true in the case of my husband’s employer. He works for a very small company, less than ten employees, but some of them and some of their family members have chronic health issues. And some of them and their family members also smoke cigarettes. The company owner is always shopping around for affordable health insurance, along with prescription drug coverage that is reasonable. While there is nothing that can be done about chronic issues like Crohn’s disease, maybe if there was a little incentive for some of the individuals to stop smoking, it would lower the cost of their health care considerably.
